Stardew Valley's 1.6 update came with tons of new content, whether it be equipment, tools, cosmetics, or new pets. One new piece of equipment introduced is the Statue Of Blessings, a coveted item that has proven to be essential for any player looking to speed up their journey on the road to Perfection. The Statue Of Blessings isn't a walk in the park to obtain, of course; it's locked behind the Farming Mastery in the new Mastery Cave. Regardless, it's worth the trouble, and other new features that come with 1.6 can help out in the endeavor.
Reaching Perfection in Stardew Valley is the end-all-be-all goal for all players, a coveted achievement that only 1% of Steam players have obtained. Perfection in Stardew Valley isn't just an achievement for players to flaunt, however. It's an actual meter full of requirements that players can work towards getting to 100%. Once this is done, the credits roll, and Stardew players actually see the "end" of the game. Of course, players have new content to enjoy afterward; Golden Eggs that produce Golden Chickens, the Statue Of True Perfection, and the option to continue working on their farm until it's exactly how they envisioned. Until then, though, The Statue Of Blessings is a piece of equipment all Perfection-seeking players will want to have.

Benefits of the Statue Of Blessings
Stardew Valley's Statue Of Blessings provides daily boons—players click on it at the start of the day and are granted with one of seven possible blessings. Blessings that buff player stats will stack with any other buffs acquired for that stat, whether through food or the daily luck forecast that they can view through the TV. Some of these blessings are great for productivity or a boost in their current wealth, while others can directly speed up the process of reaching Perfection.
Blessing | Benefit |
---|---|
Blessing Of The Butterfly | A Prismatic Butterfly spawns anywhere on the main map until 5pm and will grant 0.5% of the player's current wealth (no less than 100g, no more than 50,000g). Has a 0.05% chance to drop a Prismatic Shard. |
Blessing Of Energy | Player will not lose any energy throughout the day. |
Blessing Of Fangs | Player receives a 10% increase to their critical hit chance. |
Blessing Of Friendship | Talking to NPCs will grant 60 friendship points rather than the usual 20 points. |
Blessing Of Speed | Player receives a 0.5% increase to their speed. |
Blessing Of Waters | The difficulty of catching Legendary Fish is decreased by 50% and the difficulty of catching non-Legendary Fish is decreased by 25%. The progress bar also decreases at a 50% slower rate. |
Blessing Of Luck | Player receives +1 to Luck. |

Three of these blessings are tangibly helpful in obtaining Stardew's coveted Perfection status. The Blessing Of Fangs can assist in achieving Monster Slayer Hero, Blessing Of Friendship exponentially speeds up the process of obtaining Great Friends, and Blessing Of Waters gives players some help in Fish Caught. The other blessings can assist as well, but these three are some of the best to get when players are in the grind to Perfection.

Skill Books Are Essential to Speeding Up the Process of Unlocking the Mastery Cave
With the Statue Of Blessings locked behind the Mastery Cave, players will want to get in there as quickly as the game allows. Another great addition to the game from the 1.6 update is Skill Books – not to be confused with Power Books. Skill Books provide players with an instant amount of XP towards a specific skill in Stardew Valley. With the Mastery Cave requiring every skill to be maxed out at level 10 before players can even access it, they're the type of boon players will want to find.
Skill Book | Benefit |
---|---|
Gain 250 Fishing XP | |
Gain 250 XP in all skills – if Mastery has already been achieved, gain 1,125 Mastery points | |
Gain 250 Combat XP | |
Gain 250 Mining XP | |
Learn all Queen of Sauce recipes not already known | |
Gain 250 Farming XP | |
Gain 250 Foraging XP |

All of these Skill Books can be found and obtained in a number of ways, the easiest being through the Bookseller, who arrives twice a season. Otherwise, players can sometimes find them in Geodes, Mystery Boxes, slain monsters, and further obscure places, all reliant on chance. The only Skill Book that won't help a player progress towards the Statue Of Blessings is the Queen of Sauce Cookbook—all others will provide assistance. The Skill Books can't be stacked in their effect, but they're worth finding one time around.

Once the Mastery Cave is Unlocked, Players Will Want To Keep At it With Skill Building
The Mastery Cave provides new tools, recipes, and items to discover through each unlocked Mastery Skill. All 5 skills are present, but for the Statue Of Blessings, players will want to obtain Farming Mastery first, as it provides the recipe for the statue. When building Mastery points, there's no specific XP; it all goes towards the same progress bar, tallying up XP until the next level is reached. For the first level, players need to gain 10,000 XP. That may sound daunting, but there's plenty to keep players busy in Stardew Valley that they'll find themselves at level 1 in no time.

Obtaining the Statue Of Blessings Recipe is Only Half the Grind
The excitement of finally gaining the Statue Of Blessings Recipe may be quickly dampened by the actual contents of the recipe – though, the Iridium Scythe may help to lessen the blow. The Statue Of Blessings only requires 4 ingredients – but in staggering quantities. It's not uncommon for players to toss out Fiber or Sap from their full inventory, usually being the least valuable in the moment when players want to keep mining. Now, they're going to find themselves regretting that action and searching high and low for these resources.
Players who not only tossed aside Sap and Fiber, but also used up all their Stones for staircases to get to the bottom of Stardew Valley's Skull Cavern, and tossed aside their Moss because it's new and they didn't know its use yet, are going to be kicking themselves. But, not all hope is lost; Stone can be built right back up in abundance through daily trips to the Mines, Moss is easiest to find encroaching all over the trees in Cindersap Forest, Sap always ends up in players' inventories whether they want it or not, and Fiber has a new event that bolsters its spawn-rate greatly.
Fiber Will Be the Most Difficult, But A New Annual Event Will Significantly Speed Up the Process
Despite always seeming to clog up players' inventories, once Fiber is actually needed, it turns out it's not the easiest to find. The land has to be allowed to grow in excess. Fiber is often strewn throughout the Cindersap Forest at the start of each season, as well as a player's farm as long as they don't have the Gold Clock, but after that, it's much more scarce. Of course, the 1.6 update truly thought of everything in the way of assisting players in obtaining all these new additions, and there's now a weather event in Stardew Valley known as Green Rain.

Stardew Valley: How to Complete the Community Center
Completing Stardew Valley's Community Center is not only the largest main story quest in the game, but doing so it also unlocks fun new features.
Green Rain completely transforms all of Stardew Valley, including the player's farm – don't worry, it will return to normal the next day, and full-grown trees in Stardew have a chance to have sprouted Moss during the event. The benefit players will want to take most advantage of during this event is the plethora of Fiber growing throughout the entire map. Cindersap Forest will want to be players' first stop, and there's a good chance they may spend the whole day there with how much Fiber growth there is.
During Green Rain, there are bundles of Fiber strewn about along with the regular growth; these bundles take a few whacks of the scythe, but will grant a handful of Fibers. By the end of a day with Green Rain, players will find themselves significantly progressed in their acquirement of the whopping 999 Fibers needed for the Statue Of Blessings, as well as some more Moss in the pocket.
With the Ingredients Acquired, Craft the Statue Of Blessings and Reap the Benefits
Stardew players will want to place the Statue Of Blessings right next to their bed, as some of the benefits can affect the player right from the start of the day, such as the Blessing Of Speed. Why forego a speedy start to the day, especially when farm maintenance always takes out a chunk of the morning? It's in a Stardew Valley player's nature to want to maximize their return, but they shouldn't waste their time crafting more than one Statue Of Blessings.
While players physically can craft more than one, they still will not able to be granted more than one blessing per day. Still, the benefit of one daily blessing will noticeably speed up the process of working towards Perfection. Players will most likely find themselves at that last requirement, whether it be Great Friends in Stardew Valley or Monster Slayer Hero, and the Statue Of Blessings will give them that extra push until they finally reach Perfection.
