The holiday company is set to fly British tourists from East Midlands Airport to Boa Vista, a Caribbean-like island in Cape Verde.
Flights will depart on Wednesdays and Saturdays during the summer with one weekly departure throughout the winter. The first flight from East Midlands Airport will take off on Saturday, April 26.
Cape Verde might look like the Caribbean but it's a much cheaper choice. A seven-night holiday to Boa Vista with flights and a room with a balcony currently starts at £738 per person, based on two adults sharing.
TUI describes Cape Verde as an 'up and coming' destination that's 'only recently emerged from obscurity'.
Boa Vista, which means 'Beautiful View' in Portuguese, is known for its white-sand beaches and laidback atmosphere.
TUI says: 'When you first set eyes on Boa Vista's beaches, you'll see where it gets its nickname.
'The island is wrapped up in 55 kilometres' worth of coastline, where rocky coves merge into white-sand bays.'

Santa Monica Beach is one of Boa Vista's best-rated beaches. TUI reveals that holidaymakers are likely to have the 'place to themselves' as the beach is 'untouched' and 'pretty much deserted'.
If that's not remote enough for you, tourists can also take a boat to the Ilheu de Sal Rei, an uninhabited island just off the coast of Boa Vista. The island's pretty coves are known for being quiet and unspoilt.
Boa Vista is also a fantastic destination for wildlife watching with humpback whales visiting the island's waters to breed between March and May.Loggerhead turtles are also commonly seen on the island's shores.
And at Viana Desert, a small desert in the north of the island, holidaymakers can hire a 4x4 to explore or opt for a quad bike safari.
The new Boa Vista flights are part of TUI's 'broader strategy to expand its Cape Verde programme'.
It's also adding additional Wednesday flights from London Gatwick to Boa Vista and an extra Saturday service from Bristol to Sal, another island in Cape Verde.
Chris Logan, TUI UK and Ireland commercial director, says: 'Cape Verde has been a popular all-round holiday destination for some time now and we are seeing increased demand for Boa Vista.
